Ethekwini Storm Damage Assessments – Ethekwini Metro

Sub-consultant to LDM Consulting to undertake field assessments and reporting on housing damaged during October 2017 storms in the Western Region of the Ethekwini Metro. Duties included site assessments, compilation of reports and cost estimates for approximately 500 sites.

Makhoba Housing Development

Appointed to undertake a condition assessment of the roads and stormwater in the Makhoba Housing Developments of Springfontein and Argyll.

Completion date:  November 2017

Contract works: Evaluate condition of roads and stormwater drainage. Compile an assessment report detailing findings. Prepare a cost estimate and scope of works for remedial works.

Mnquma Municipality Infrastructure Asset Register

Sub-consultant to Morar Incorporated (auditors) to undertake condition assessments of infrastructure assets, and evaluate the value of same.

Contract works:  Assessment of gravel roads, stormwater infrastructure and buildings. Compilation of asset register through componentizing allinfrastructure and assigning realistic values to same.

Tugela Ferry Sheds

Sub-consultant to JG Afrika to undertake contract administration duties for the construction of steel sheds and associated infrastructure for the Tugela Ferry Community at 6 sites.

Contract value:  R 10 million (2017)

Completion date:  In progress

Contract works:  Construction of steel portal sheds, internal roads, VIP toilets, water supply, electricity supply, fencing and ancillary services to enable use of the sheds by the local community to store locally grown produce for transportation to bulk buyers.
